Back to work
eh...i started back to work today...i totally did not wanna be there. it felt so weird being back there after being gone for 6 weeks. i dunno...i guess the reason why it was so weird was that i was back to working to only a handful of people, instead of 149 students and 27 staff members of summer bridge. i dunno, it takes awhile to get back to the normal routine of my old job, which isnt much....but as i said, it's totally different than the kinda work environment that i had been exposed to for the past 6 weeks. especially the communication factor...i mean, in summer bridge, communication was everything...but in my "normal" job, a lot of things go unsaid and things just "go" without much communication, well i guess that's cuz so many people are playing politics with each other in my job that if they actually speak to each other, feelings get hurt, and drama erupts. i was thinking to myself that i miss working for Summer Bridge, and can't wait til next year to do it again. i was also thinking that im glad that im only gonna work for 10 hours a week during the first quarter...i dunno if i can take much more than that so soon after bridge. dont get me wrong...its a pretty good job, and the pay is great...but the job seems kinda stuffy now after the experiences of bridge. each one of the students and staff from bridge hold a special place in my heart, and i do miss the fun times that we had at Argo Hall. yeah yeah...that was cheesy, but true. stay tuned...we'll be back after these messages =)
