sadness
sad day today...i found out some tragic news...Aaliyah died today =( it really sucks, cuz i really dig her and her music. but the thing that really sucked was how young she was. she was only 22!!! that's 2 years older than me for god's sake!!! i was looking forward to hearing a lot more from her. i even had a lil crush on her...she was the one celebrity i would choose to meet if i had the chance...but now that will never happen, cuz a tragedy killed her. what a way to end a somewhat decent day, especially after a great summer bridge talent show. i can't believe it. i am in mourning...=(

long time no blog
so what??? yeah yeah, i havent blogged in awhile...but then again i've been pretty busy for the past few weeks w/ summer bridge and all. but i am having a good time, although i'm working late hours that ive never worked before. but other than that, the students have been great. this job has been keeping me really busy, especially since i have about 40 students on my list that i have to meet with twice during this program. if you do your math, that means that i have 80 meetings with students, and thats not counting the countless numbers of staff meetings that i have to attend daily. so basically, my job is all about meetings. if it sounds like i'm complaining, i'm not...i really am having a good time getting to know the students who are here, and i'm really enjoying my large room and my extra large bed that no one, other than the resource counselors get to have.
august is moving by really fast...almost too fast. it's already half over, and it's already the 2nd week of the program. speaking of which, i gotta buy my best friend Chie a birthday gift since her bday is this saturday. i have no idea what i wanna get for her. why are girls so hard to shop for??? i think i'm gonna hit up the mall either tomorrow or thursday when i have some time off to get something for her. ah well...time to get back to work...until next time...stay tuned we'll be back after these messages =)
