the end is near
summer bridge is ending soon....this friday to be exact...i dont really wanna move back home...but oh well. a lot of things have been going on, i'll elaborate later. stay tuned...we'll be back after these messages =l

1 full week...
since i last blogged, and there is nothing really new going on in my life. bridge is continuing, and it is almost over. next friday, everybody will be moving out of argo hall, and i will be moving back home for another year. next week will be the 1 month remaining mark of my summer vacation, meaning school is starting again. i cant believe how fast this summer is going, maybe its because ive done nothing academic during this hiatus from school, and i'm really enjoying myself...damn, why cant the regular school year be like that? ah well...life goes on....and life is now telling me to do paperwork, so i wont be buried by it. stay tuned...we'll be back after these messages =l

what should i get my best friend for her birthday? her birthday in this sunday, and i have no idea what to get her...she works at Gap, so that is definitely out of the question...any ideas??? anybody???

busy
yeah...i've been pretty busy with summer bridge...i guess thats why i havent been keeping up with my blogs lately...not that things havent been going on, it's just that i havent had the time to update. summer bridge is half way over, which kinda sucks...but time flies when youre having fun. this year's bridge is definitely different from last year's bridge...i can't say which one i like better, cuz they both have their unique qualities about them...and ive had fun with both of them...and i hate thinking about ending the program, even though it is a lot of work...but i have fun working this program, and getting to know the staff and students better. it's my way of giving back to this program, that did so much for me when i was a 1st year. i just wish that the staff from my bridge had made more of an effort to get to know me better during the program...i guess thats why i am making a conscious effort to get to know as many of the students here as i can, even if they arent students that i have to meet with...i want them to know that i am out there for them, and that they can come to me for anything.

yeah...so that's my little thing about bridge, and what i'm in it for...sorry if it wasnt all that interesting...(why am i apologizing to my own blog?)...i guess i really am tired...i should go to sleep, so i can wake up to go to contemporary issues lecture...Professor George Lipsitz is lecturing, he's pretty cool....stay tuned...we'll be back after these messages =)

well deserved...
it's my night off....i'm outta here!!! its my first night off since the program started last saturday....so its definitely time for a change of scenery. dunno what i'm gonna do...but it will definitely be outside of Argo Hall. stay tuned...we'll be back after these messages =)

bridge so far has been pretty cool, with the exception of a few incidents that happened, that i never had to deal last year. they kinda shook me up, and it kinda sucks for the people involved...but everything should be fine and running smoothly soon enough. i would elaborate more, but that conflicts with issues of confidentiality, which is a big thing here, so no can do. other than that, the students are an interesting bunch, but still pretty cool...i look forward to getting to know them better, or at least learning their names.

on another note...Happy 21st birthday to Tiff...yeah, she's fully legal now, and able to buy her own beverages...now she just has to take advantage of that priviledge ;) i know i forgot to mention a few other birthdays, but ive just been busy...so if youre my friend or avid reader, and i forgot to mention your birthday...Happy Belated Birthday, hopefully it was enjoyable.

training is over...now comes the actual Summer Bridge program. i'm once again excited, yet calm. i went through this anticipation about the students last year, but that was a bit different cuz i didnt know what to expect from my position as a Resource Counselor. but now it's different. i know what to expect as a Resource Counselor, but i'm excited about meeting the students, and spreading the enthusiasm that i have for this program to them. only 2 more days til they come....and they are coming!!! stay tuned...we'll be back after these messages =)
