New Years Resolution
Well...not really a new years resolution, more like a new years hope. I am hopeful that 2009 will be a better year than 2008. I had a lot of ups and downs in 2008, but mostly downs. But there are 3 things that I am focusing on in 2009, which will make it a better year.
1. Get into the CBB Program @ SDSU
2. Have a better love life
3. Find a better job.
#1 is the grad school program that i am currently applying to...i really hope i get into it this year
#2 is self explanatory...it was a down year in the love life of yours truly...maybe i was still trying to get over the ex...maybe i was afraid to get back on the dating scene, but whatever the case, things will change in 2009.
#3 is a short term goal because i am hoping to get back to work and save money enough for when i have to cut down to part time while i'm in grad school.
oh yeah, 2009 will also be my 10 year reunion from high school...hard to believe that it's been 10 years since i graduated. more motivation for me to accomplish those 3 goals that i have set up for myself in 2009. let's see if i can make it happen. stay tuned...we'll be back after these messages =)

Belated Merry Christmas
Christmas was yesterday. I'm here in Vegas celebrating it with the fam. Uncle Florante just came in from Pennsylvania, so my mom and my aunt are downstairs catching up and laughing it up. I'm up in my room trying to finish my grad school statement. Gah...Procrastination is like masturbation, it feels good until you realize you're fucking yourself. Haha...I think I blogged about that a few years ago when I was still in college. But it still holds true. I need to get the whole application done by January 15. I'm pretty sure I'll have everything done before then, but I'm just not wanting to write the statement. I'm more than halfway done, but as I read over what I already have, it sounds very simplistic, and not worthy of grad school. I guess that's why I'm trying to get it done so early...so people can proof read it for me and I can make the necessary changes. I'm just procrastinating...it was supposed to be done before Christmas, but I just did other things. Oh well, it will be done by 2009...I hope!
I also need to get my people to write letters of recommendation. I got 1 squared away, but I need 2 more. I have 2 people lined up, I just need to get them the info they need to get it done. Gah...grad school apps are so easy, yet so hard!
So what did I get for Christmas?
Costco gift card from Ben
Costco membership from Leia
Wine glasses from White Elephant @ Ben & Aldrin's place (courtesy of Dominique)
CK shoes from Dominique
Tom Tom GPS from dad
Dress shirts, a couple of ties, and Dress shoes from Mom & Tom
What I didn't get
Job
someone special
oh well, there's always 2009.
I'll be spending New Years @ On Broadway in Downtown San Diego with some good friends of mine. It will definitely be a better NYE than last year.

note to self
Dear Jeff,
Don't let anybody take away who you are. Just because you are a nice guy doesn't mean you're a bad guy. Nobody will step all over you because you are who you are and seem to be too nice for your own good. Stay true to your ownself and you will win out in the end. Just because one person doesn't appreciate your nice guy demeanor doesn't mean someone else won't. You will find a nice girl who will sweep you off your feet, and you will sweep her off her feet. Things will be all good in the end. Above all, stay positive and things will fall into place. You've made it this far, just keep going.
You will not FAIL!
Yours Truly,
Jeff
