it's over
so summer bridge ended yesterday. i cant believe its over...the whole month went by really fast. the way i led my suite this summer was really inspired by my atc Jesson and many of the things that he did with me when i was a student during bridge. i hope my students got as much, if not more, from bridge as i did when i went through it. here's to you Alex, Mark, Miguel, Huy, Mohan, & Roberto...i am honored that i got the chance to know you guys over the past month...i look forward to meeting with each of you over the next year. just remember that i am not just your atc...i am also your friend.
now that i'm home, its weird knowing that i dont have anything to do for the next 3-4 weeks til school starts. i have a few things that i have to take care of for one of my classes, but other than that...im down for fun. i wanna go to vegas and have the "vegas" experience...i dont wanna go with family, just with a bunch of friends. so is anybody down for a trip? stay tuned...we'll be back after these messages =)

i dunno what im typing
cuz yeah it's late/early, and i am not fully here. yep i had some fun tonight, since it is after all my night off from summer bridge. one thing that i realized based on reading my past blogs over the past month or so is that i have been reminiscing a lot about my bridge '99 memories. i guess it's because of my experiences working at bridge this summer, and noticing the scary similarities between the guys of my suite, and the guys of the suite that i was in back in '99. also, a lot of the experiences that i experienced in '99 are happening all over again...nothing too major, just a few things. ok...my brain is not really functioning right now...i'm surprised that im even coherent right now as i type this. but before i go, just wanted to say hi to my friend nina (not the one on clickages)...but the one who's apartment that i am coming to u live from right now as we speak. she's my friend from way back when i was a 1st year @ ucsd. she's on the phone right now, but i thought i would just give her a shout out before i lefted. stay tuned...we'll be back after these messages =)

night off
yup, tonight is my night off from summer bridge. and yes, i do have the worst nights off from bridge (what is there to do on monday and wednesday nights anyway?) why is it that the newbies to summer bridge gets the cool nights off, and the veterans like me get crappy nights...well actually, im the only veteran to get such crappy nights. so yeah, instead of partying since no one partys on a monday night, i went down south to chula vista to get my hair streaked by my coworker/friend Suzie...well, it didnt really get streaked, more like blobbed, since my hair is so short. i have blobs of light brown and black all over the top of my head...oh well, it's a change from my normal black hair. thanks suzie for the hair job.
so as for the lack of updates, bridge has been keeping me quite busy. i work from 4-midnight everyday, and im usually roaming around argo hall after midnight, before i go to sleep around 3 or 4am. so i just have mornings and early afternoons off to do anything, and i usually just sleep the morning away, waking up just in time for lunch @ noon. so technically, i have 4 hours to do my thing...usually, i just go to the beach or run errands and shower, before i have to go to my 4pm staff meetings. so yes, u can say that my days are pretty full...but i like it, cuz bridge is fun. sometimes i wish i could go back to when i was a bridge student so i can relive some of my memories, change some things that didnt work out my way and maybe create some new ones with some people (person)...i look at the students of this year, and remember how it was for me way back in '99. i had a lot of fun back then, but some things just didnt work out, or fell through the cracks, and looking back at it...if i had the chance, i woulda worked harder to make some of these things work out. but i guess thats all u can do in retrospect, just look back and wish u could change things for the better. that's life. stay tuned...we'll be back after these messages =l

it's 7:46am...why am i awake???
because i had to wake my students up for their 1st day of class. yep...summer bridge 2003 started on saturday, and it's been a busy weekend. lotsa activities and get to know you stuff went on this weekend. my students are sooooooooooooo cool...i couldnt have asked for better students, and it's only the 3rd day of the program. i hope that it wont change over the next 4 weeks. the dynamic of my suite is something that i did not expect to happen right away...and i am glad that it is happening, since it means less work on my part to make things work, and that is a good thing. stay tuned...we'll be back after these messages =)
