the end is near
for 2002. tomorrow will be 2003, meaning that a new year is upon us. this year has been full of its ups and downs, hopefully the new year will have more ups than downs. well, however it goes, i'll make the best of it all. tonight i'm going to have some fun w/ some friends from high school, and ring in the new year. don't worry, i dont plan on getting drunk. just gonna have a good time with them. be safe everyone...and see ya in 2003. stay tuned...we'll be back after these messages =)

random babble
i've rediscovered how cool the later TGIF shows are/were. thanks to the magic of the disney channel, i'm able to enjoy the entertaining qualities of Boy Meets World and Sister, Sister. i think i didnt see too many episodes towards the last years that they were on, prolly cuz they were on during the latter years of my high school life...when i was really busy with yearbook, asb, and class council, as well as with friends. right now i'm watching the christmas episode of Boy Meets World from their first year of college, where mr feeny plays the ghost of christmas future, and past. ahh...the memories. merry christmas eve!!! stay tuned...we'll be back after these messages =)

jury duty
so i had jury duty for the past 2 days. i got assigned to a case, so i had to come back for an extra day. the judge that i had was the same judge who did the Westerfield case (that little girl named Danielle Van Dam, who got killed), Judge Mudd. i didn't wanna get assigned...but i did, which sucked at first cuz it took up part of my winter break, but it ended up being kinda fun. i wouldn't do it again right away, but it was an interesting experience. funny thing was that 1 of the jurors was in summer bridge 2001 when i was a resource counselor, and another juror was a professor that i had 2 years ago...so at least i knew some people. well, now that i'm done w/ jury duty...my winter break can start once again. NO MORE JURY DUTY FOR ME FOR 3 YEARS!!! stay tuned...we'll be back after these messages =)

i got...
jury duty at 745 am...which is in about 3 1/2 hours from now...why am i awake? maybe it's cuz i'm nocturnal, and i cant go to sleep before 4am anymore...i mean, i did go to sleep at about 2...but after trying to sleep for an hour and a half, i got up and got on the computer. maybe it's also cuz i got something on my mind. i guess, i need some resolution with some people, and its driving me crazy. 1 is with a good friend of mine, 1 is with someone that just met and i'm trying to get to know (actually, i dunno if there is a problem with this person...it's just me worrying...prolly bout nothing). but at any rate, i just hate it when i got things on my mind...it throws me completely off. i'm pretty sure that things will work out in the end...i will take action, cuz it's the holiday season, i dont need any drama hanging over my head. i'm just gonna quit blogging about it...and take some action to resolve things...and quit worrying. ah well...i'm gonna try to get some sleep so i can do my civic responsibility, and report to jury duty. tata for now...stay tuned...we'll be back after these messages =/

finals
finals has shown its ugly face again...so i think it's appropriate for me to post these levels of stress anxiety that i got from my friend Steph (who is now back in daygo after a year long stay abroad in new zealand.)

i think i'm between level 1 and 2...i wish my finals were earlier in the week, instead of thurs and fri...cuz ive been feeling ok about these finals, but now that it's so late in the week, im likely to procrastinate, which i have been doing a lot of. only 2 finals to study for too...ethnic studies on thurs, and human sexuality on fri...so not too bad. also if it were earlier in the week, i would be done w/ em, and my winter break will start early. oh well...i guess i just have to wait til the end of the week to take em. stay tuned...we'll be back after these messages =)

yes...i have a 10 page paper and a 3 page reflection paper due on thurs for my HDP 135 class. i got about another 2 pages left on the paper, and the reflection paper left to do. i had 3 hours of sleep last night, and have lasted all day through class, apsa meetings, and doing this paper...all without a nap, or falling asleep. i'm so proud of myself...now let's see if i can finish this paper before i go to sleep. stay tuned...we'll be back after these messages =l

sorry for the delay
i've just been really occupied w/ APSA High Schol Conference, which was yesterday. I was the programming chair w/ Aldrin, so both he and I were really busy making the programs...which turned out to be a big hit...we made it look like a credit card. I was also a facilitator for the conference w/ Monica, someone who was pretty new to APSA. i was also out trying to ruin the world, or at least the learning environment @ UCSD, when i became Lex Luthor in APSA's version of Smallville. i also learned a dance routine for the entertainment portion of the conference w/ my poppin partner Melissa and my tango partner Jen Rivor. hereandnow came back to entertain us too...but sadly, Joy Bisco wasn't able to make it, cuz she was busy taping Port Charles...but i was able to redeem myself for falling during red light, green light last year. Jon, the head of hereandnow, remembered me from before (im not sure if it's from red light green light...we've talked before), and called me up on stage to play. a really busy couple of weeks full of APSA stuff. now it's time to get back to business...finals are just around the corner. gotta get focused so i dont bomb finals. stay tuned...we'll be back after these messages =l

Port Charles
i don't like this show...i'm not even a soap opera watching type of guy...but i still watch this show late at night. not that i watch this show for its content...usually i just block it out and do other things (like what i'm doing right now by blogging). the only reason that i even bother turning that show on is because of one person...JOY BISCO! =) i dunno, ever since she came to ucsd last year and picked me out of the crowd to go on stage w/ her, i have been such a huge fan. i dont even know what the point of this show is...i just watch just to see joy. yeah, i'm pathetic...but everybody has their obsession...including all u n*sync freaks out there.
what do u think? well...whatever, i like her =). by the way...her character's name on Port Charles is Marissa.

i wanna see 8 mile...i was supposed to see it today, but peeps couldnt go cuz of the rain, so i just stayed home and chilled. hopefully i see it sometime this weekend...since this weekend will be devoted to non-academic activities on my part. well...i'm gonna go do something not academic...either that, or just go to sleep. stay tuned...we'll be back after these messages =)

frustration sets in...
as i sit here typing this, my mind is wandering. thinking about what's going on...and hating the fact that i'm thinking too hard about this situation with a friend. let's just say that this female friend and i have been getting to know each other lately, but it seems like things have hit a brick wall...meaning that i'm getting the silent treatment...thing is...I DUNNO WHAT THE HELL I DID WRONG...last time we talked, things seemed ok, and then next thing i know...nothing...no communication. i hate it when things like this happens...whether it be a long time friend...or someone that i'm trying to get to know better. we're just friends people...but does a friend do that to another? makes me feel like...grr i dunno, but its just not a good feeling. why am i worrying so much about this when i got an ethnic studies midterm on thursday to study for? yes friends...in person i may seem ok...i guess it's just a front, which may or may not be healthy...but inside, i got issues...just like everybody else.

good talk
had a good talk today w/ my mentee Christine. we met @ the saac lounge after my ethnic studies class...then went to get some food @ muir (she treated me =) ) and talked a lot bout life and stuff and got to know each other better. after lunch, we went to her room to continue our conversation. my human sexuality class cut our conversation short...i woulda skipped it if i didnt have a midterm coming up next tues. but i came back after class to continue our chat. i had fun. i have a great mentee =)

what a weekend
so as i had mentioned before, i went to friendship games. it was an interesting experience. didnt get that much sleep on friday night, since we were left at 3am. i got a 2 1/2 hr nap in on friday evening and laid down for an hour before leaving. picked up Marianne @ ucsd and met up w/ ronnel, mark, and joe before leaving. got to fullerton @ 430, and tried to sleep in the car, but i kept getting woken up by people leaving the hotel early in the morning. finally gave up on sleep at around 6 when the ucsd heads @ the hotel were gathering in the lobby. practiced the roll call, then headed to csuf. we got there a bit late...but what do u expect from a group of filipinos? kinda made a fool of ourselves by chanting as we entered, especially since we were doing it while they were doing the national anthem. got through roll call (stomping to "grindin" and then a cha cha to"todo todo"). grabbed some food (rice, noodles, and meat sticks)...and the games were off. i watched the nasty before i decided that i couldnt go any further. so i headed over to our area and took a nice nap on the grass. kept waking up off and on. the stupid weather didnt wanna make up its mind...it was cold, then hot, then cold again. i woke up, planning to watch tidal wave...but everybody was laggin, so i just went back to sleep. finally woke up to see the booty shaking contest. at that point, i took marianne to the car so she could nap, then headed back to the games and wandered around for a bit, before deciding to head back to daygo. got back and ate at in & out...yeah yeah i know, im not a fan of in & out...but marianne wanted it, so i just ate it. dropped her off, then went home. showered and passed out. yay friendship games.

today i went to miramar lake to meet my new mentee...who is Christine Yuen, who i knew beforehand. funny how she's my mentee, especially since we dont have the same major...we were paired up based on our college. chilled there for a bit, before heading out. stopped by Tessa's apartment w/ Jill before heading home. i had planned on going to church, but my body had other plans...so i took a nap. woke up and read. that was my weekend. oh, did i mention that i went to pb bar and grill on thurs night? well...yeah i did.

my blog is becoming a "what i did" journal...not what i had in mind...but until i have somthing major i wanna put in here, this will have to do. im gonna watch some initial d on my computer then sleep...nite =þ
